Those who follow me on Goodreads (Libellus) know that this year was a much better reading year than 2017. I managed to read 42 books as opposed to last year’s meek 33. Technically, I only read 41, but since I had only 100 pages left to my last book of the year at the stroke of midnight, I figured it still counts. I am especially proud of this achievement since in the second part of the year I did not have any mandatory readings to do for school anymore. Here are some few fun stats about my 2018 reading year.
1- I only awarded five stars to four books (including the one I finished on the 1st) 2- I only awarded two stars to two books 3- The longest book I read was Obsidio by Amy Kaufman and Jay Kristoff with 615 pages while the shortest was the 38 page-long Opal (A Raven Cycle short story) by Maggie Stiefvater. The average length of all books read was 314 pages. 4- I read 12 884 pages this year. 5- The oldest published book was the Tibetan Book of the Dead, published in the year 700. 6- The most productive month was February with eight books read in 28 days, totaling 2 350 pages for the month. 7- The most popular book was The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy with 1 725 213 fellow readers while the least popular was “Yougoslavie: Un pari impossible?” by Gilles Troude. 8- I gave an average rating of 3.6/5. I wish every single one of you a blessed New Year, filled with love, adventure and plenty of fantastic stories.
